Julio Lobo had to dig deep to defeat Kongklai Sor Sommai in a thrilling bantamweight Muay Thai main event at ONE Friday Fights 152, which aired live in Asia primetime on May 1 from the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.
Both fighters refused to budge from the onset. The Brazilian swarmed his dance partner with heavy leather, finding early success with sharp boxing combinations. The Thai slugger, on the flip side, responded with a close-range elbow, prompting an immediate answer from Lobo.
The slugfest intensified in the second round as both men exchanged punches at a frantic pace. Lobo soon began to assert his control, landing a powerful right hook that sent Kongklai bouncing off the ropes.

Kongklai managed to recover and see out the fight, but the knockdown proved decisive. Lobo was awarded a unanimous decision victory after nine minutes of intense action, earning the 66th win of his career.
