ONE Friday Fights 142 Results: Gregor Thom Sleeps Donking With Buzzer-Beater KO

Scottish slugger Gregor Thom knocked out Donking Yotharakmuaythai with just one second remaining in the second round of their flyweight Muay Thai co-main event clash at ONE Friday Fights 142 on Friday, February 13, in Asia primetime.

Thom, who returned to the global stage in search of a bounce-back win, opened with his trademark power punches to the body. His opposite number, meanwhile, responded with sharp head shots.

After a calculated yet aggressive opening three minutes, action intensified in the second round. This time, though, Donking appeared to gain the upper hand during several stretches. The Thai warrior alternated between punches and kicks as he closed the distance at full throttle.

Thom’s right eye showed visible damage, but the 26-year-old Scotsman stayed composed and continued to search for an opening. And with only one second left in the frame, he found it.

As Donking launched a middle kick, the Aberdeen Combat Centre and Silk Muay Thai representative fired a crushing right cross that dropped Donking to the canvas.

The Thai tried his best to beat the eight-count, but his legs betrayed him. As a result, the referee waved the contest off at 2:59 of round two, handing Thom his second promotional highlight-reel win that lifted his record to 27-6.
