ONE Friday Fights 134 Results: Yodlekpet Shines Against Mammadov, Bomogao Stays Unbeaten

Yodlekpet vs Anar Mammadov ONE Friday Fights 134 3

Bangkok was once again treated to a night of combat sports excellence with ONE Friday Fights 134 on Friday, November 21.

All 12 Muay Thai, kickboxing, and mixed martial arts bouts delivered pulsating action from start to finish. Veteran warriors kept a hold of their respective divisions, while promising talents continued their rise.

In case you missed all the action, here’s what unfolded live in Asia primetime from Thailand this week.

Yodlekpet Fires On All Cylinders Against Mammadov

In the flyweight Muay Thai main event showdown, Yodlekpet “The Destroyer” Or Atchariya bucked a slow start and outclassed Anar Mammadov to return to winning ways on the global stage.

The four-time Muay Thai World Champion pressed the action in round one, but had trouble dealing with Mammadov’s speedy footwork and volume-heavy attacks. The Azerbaijani set the pace of the tie, battering Yodlekpet with swift punches and leg kick combinations.

But “The Destroyer” was simply waiting for an opportunity to unleash his fury – which came at full speed in the second canto.

Yodlekpet bit on his mouthpiece and fired away with power and precision. Soon, a short left elbow dropped the Team Mehdi Zatout star for the count. The 29-year-old got up, but found himself back on the canvas moments later after absorbing a left straight from Yodlekpet.

Mammadov survived the round and emptied his gas tank in the third stanza with solid hooks. Yodlekpet, however, brushed off Mammadov’s strikes and continued landing his power shots, which scored big on the judges’ scorecards when the final bell rang.

As a result, “The Destroyer” walked away with his ninth win in the promotion and improved his overall slate to 93-39.

Young Stars Notch Impressive Finishes

In the featured bout of the evening, Elies Abdelali and Alaverdi “Babyface Killer” Ramazanov‘s featherweight Muay Thai showdown ended early after an unfortunate injury to the latter.

The former ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Champion broke his left leg after throwing a low kick at 0:27 of round one, resulting in a TKO victory for Abdelali, who improved his record to 10-1.

Elsewhere, Filipina firecracker Islay Erika Bomogao demolished Ploychompoo PU Phabai in atomweight Muay Thai.

The 25-year-old striker dropped her Thai counterpart twice – first with a straight right in the opening stanza, then a body shot and right-hand combination that ended the fight at 0:47 of round two.

Bomogao stretched her perfect record to 5-0 following her second straight highlight-reel finish.

A pair of exciting talents also made lasting impressions in their promotional debuts.

In flyweight kickboxing, Japanese warrior Hyuga blasted Wang Yuhan with a torrent of punches and knees to secure a knockout victory at 1:20 of round one.

Before that, Australian standout Rory Turner pummeled Noah Cabreros with punishing ground and pound at 4:52 of round three to score a TKO win in their strawweight MMA contest.
