ONE Friday Fights 109 will play host to an explosive featherweight kickboxing showdown between Japanese fan favorite Kaito Ono and Iranian sensation Mohammad Siasarani.

On May 23 in Asia primetime, Kaito will make his highly anticipated promotional debut against the talented Siasarani at the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

Kaito enters the world’s largest martial arts organization with an impressive professional record, boasting 58 career victories, including 26 by way of highlight-reel knockout.

Notably, he brings championship-level experience to the promotion. A former Shoot Boxing and Rise Champion, the Team F.O.D. representative has built a reputation as one of Japan’s premier strikers with his technical precision and versatile style.

Siasarani, meanwhile, comes into this contest with positive momentum. He shined in his most recent outing, earning a hard-fought decision win over Chinese upstart Liu Mengyang in kickboxing action at ONE Friday Fights 105.

The Team Mehdi Zatout standout has proven his mettle in multiple striking disciplines. He owns multiple ONE victories in both kicboxing and Muay Thai bouts – most memorably defeating decorated Thai icon Sitthichai Sitsongpeenong in “the art of eight limbs.”

Known for his superhuman durability and heart, the 22-year-old Siasarani has leaned on his toughness and ability to absorb punishment, all while maintaining constant forward pressure, to make him one of Lumpinee Stadium’s favorites.

In terms of style, this contest presents an intriguing clash of approaches. Kaito’s elite technical prowess and wealth of high-level experience will be tested against Siasarani’s relentless aggression and youthful energy.

What’s more, both men have everything to prove. For the Japanese newcomer, it’s about making an immediate impact in his hotly anticipated ONE debut, while Siasarani aims to continue rising after his recent kickboxing success.

Fans should certainly expect an action-packed affair when these hungry and skilled strikers collide on May 23.
