‘I’m Not Afraid’ – Chokpreecha Unbothered By Abdallah Ondash’s Knockout Streak Ahead Of The Inner Circle 24 Rematch

Two-division Lumpinee Stadium Muay Thai World Champion Chokpreecha PK TomTKalaiyont faces a familiar foe at The Inner Circle 24, and he has every intention of settling the matter for good. 

The 35-year-old veteran runs it back against Lebanese knockout artist Abdallah Ondash in a strawweight Muay Thai matchup inside Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium this Friday, July 31.

If their first clash is anything to go by, fight fans can expect a high-octane affair when they renew their rivalry on this Asia primetime card, available exclusively to subscribers at live.onefc.com.

They dished out an intense three-round war at ONE Friday Fights 70 in July 2024. Ondash pushed a frantic pace early, looking to keep his win streak alive. However, Chokpreecha’s veteran experience showed through, with the Thai picking his counters and finding a home for his strikes repeatedly across the battle.

The action never slowed, and the PK Saenchai Muaythaigym athlete continued piling on volume through the midway point before managing the closing minutes smartly to seal a majority decision.

That result still sits as the only blemish on an otherwise spotless promotional ledger for Ondash, and Chokpreecha knows exactly what that means walking back into the rematch.

He told ONE Championship:

“I don’t feel any pressure for this fight, but rather challenged. Abdallah has secured a ONE contract, so he’s probably determined to get his revenge and knock me out.

“But I definitely won’t let that happen. I want to build a winning streak with a second straight victory, especially after my recent slump caused by poor physical condition.”

In his last outing, the 35-year-old snapped a three-fight skid via a second-round finish of Huynh Van Tuan, restoring momentum right as this rematch came into view. 

Ondash, meanwhile, has responded to the lone loss on his record in the best way possible, ripping off four consecutive knockout wins, two of them coming inside the opening round against dangerous Thai duo Singdomthong Nokjeanladkrabang and Denkriangkrai Mavinn Muaythai.

Both stars, in other words, arrive at this sequel in very different form than they did two years ago, and he is not dismissing the improvements on both ends.

Chokpreecha continued:

“Compared to two years ago, Abdallah still possesses heavy power in his punches, but he has improved his speed. He also added other weapons, like his kicks, which I need to be careful of.

“For this fight, I’ve prepared a variety of weapons and worked on a game plan with my trainer. You’ll see it in the ring. As for the fight style, I’ll likely press forward aggressively as usual, but with tighter defense; otherwise, I could get caught by his dangerous left hook.”

Eyes Set On A Finish And A Six-Figure Deal

Riding that same preparation into fight week, Chokpreecha PK TomTKalaiyont is not interested in a repeat of the closely contested affair from 2024 when The Inner Circle 24 lands inside the mecca of Muay Thai this week.

Abdallah Ondash’s evolution has clearly caught his attention, but the veteran’s response to that threat is to raise his own ambitions rather than play it safe. This time around, he wants a definitive answer, not another trip to the scorecards.

The former Lumpinee Stadium World Champion shared:

“My goal for this fight is a decisive finish. I want to beat him again so I remain the one fighter he can never overcome.

“Even if I can’t find a finish, I’m confident my experience will carry me through all three rounds of trading blows.”

Plenty of outside noise has painted Ondash as the clear favorite heading into Friday, pointing to his four-fight knockout streak as proof the script has flipped. That chatter has not gone unnoticed by Chokpreecha, but it has done little to shake his read on how this rematch plays out.

Beyond redemption and pride, though, a US$100,000 main roster contract hangs over this rematch. Ondash already has his hands on one, and the Thai warrior sees a win here as his own ticket to finally securing that life-changing deal.

He concluded:

“Many people on social media say Abdallah has grown stronger and that Chokpreecha won’t survive. But I’m not afraid.

“Let’s wait and see in the ring whether I can finish him with my elbows or other weapons and secure another bonus. If I defeat a contracted ONE athlete, I believe I’ll have a chance at earning a ONE contract myself.”
