‘I’ll Find That KO’ – Chatpichit Eyes Breakthrough Main Event Moment At ONE Friday Fights 144
Thai standout Chatpichit Sor Sor Toipadriew is looking to continue his rise when he meets fellow compatriot Tubtimthong IngfahhotelUbon in the main event of ONE Friday Fights 144 on February 27.
The atomweight Muay Thai showdown will air live in Asia primetime from Bangkok’s legendary Lumpinee Stadium, where a career-defining performance could further accelerate Chatpichit’s momentum.
Now riding a two-fight winning streak, the 26-year-old wants to add another victory to move closer to a life-changing ONE Championship main-roster contract. Still, he understands the challenge ahead will demand precision and composure.
Chatpichit said:
“Tubtimthong is a tough one. He’s sharp, and his hands are lethal. But he’s had a rough patch lately, losing three in a row. I think that’s got to be weighing on him mentally. When you’re down like that, it’s hard to perform at your best.”
Tubtimthong is attempting to rebound from a three-fight skid — a sharp contrast to the explosive start of his ONE tenure, when he won his first three bouts, including two first-round knockouts.
The Sor Jor Lekmuangnon representative possesses dynamite hands capable of ending any fight instantly. He finished Petchnumchai Sor Jor Tongprachin and Sakolpat ChotBangsaen in a combined time of less than four minutes, announcing himself as one of the division’s most dangerous punchers.
Chatpichit respects that threat but believes he has identified the path to victory.
He offered:
“From what I’ve seen, Tubtimthong struggles when you target the body and the face, he doesn’t seem to take those shots well. If he leaves an opening, I’m ending it right there. Expect a knockdown or a knockout for sure. And as always, I’ve got my elbows ready to close the show whenever I see the chance.
“I’m planning to bring the heat from the very first round. I think I’m ahead of him both physically and mentally. If I can push the pace and drain his gas tank early, there’s a huge chance I’ll find that KO.”
A win would mark the 63rd victory of his career. But for Chatpichit, the stakes extend far beyond numbers.
A stoppage could edge him closer to the life-changing deal and place him in the broader conversation surrounding a potential showdown with ONE Atomweight Muay Thai World Champion Nadaka. Those ambitions, however, remain secondary to the task at hand.
He said:
“This fight is huge. A win here means a three-fight winning streak, which keeps the momentum going as I climb the ranks. People might think Nadaka is untouchable right now, but I want to test myself against him one day. That’s the dream. But first, I’m looking to knock Tubtimthong out and hand him his fourth straight loss.
“My main goal this year is to secure a ONE contract as soon as possible. That’s why every fight has to be my best. I don’t think reaching the top of the atomweight division is out of reach. If I keep grinding, I know I’ll get to the top.”
Chatpichit Explains His Most Dangerous Weapon
With over 80 bouts under his belt, the 26-year-old Chatpichit Sor Sor Toipadriew believes he is entering his physical and technical prime — and he intends to prove it inside the hallowed grounds of Lumpinee Stadium.
He said:
“These days, I feel like my style is constantly evolving – I’m more aggressive, sharper, and my precision is way better than before. But my secret weapon has always been my elbows, that’s been my signature from the start. I’m still hunting for my first major title.”
That evolution was evident in his most recent outing against Har Ling Om at ONE Friday Fights 136 last December.
Rather than forcing exchanges against the larger Myanmar striker, Chatpichit showed patience and maturity, edging the bout across three rounds to secure a unanimous decision. His fight IQ and adaptability proved decisive.
Since debuting in the weekly series at ONE Friday Fights 14 in April 2023, the SorSorToipadriew athlete has compiled six wins in eight appearances, with both losses coming by close decision.
That series of victories has led him to headline ONE Friday Fights 144, and Chatpichit wants to deliver a performance that leaves no doubt.
He said:
“For this fight, the team told me to just go for it. They want me to show the world that I’m main-event material. The goal is to make it an absolute war that the fans won’t forget. Win or lose, I just want to leave a lasting impression.”
