Helena Crevar To Face Teshya Noelani Alo At ONE Fight Night 39 On January 24
After months of anticipation, Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu prodigy Helena Crevar will kick off the new year by making her ONE Championship debut.
The 18-year-old American sensation is scheduled to face Teshya Noelani Alo in a bantamweight submission grappling match at the promotion’s first U.S. primetime event of the year, ONE Fight Night 39 on Prime Video, which broadcasts live from Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium on Friday, January 24.
Crevar, who trains under the legendary John Danaher at Kingsway Jiu-Jitsu, has been spectacular in her young career.
The Las Vegas native has won multiple IBJJF World Championships across various belt levels, and she even claimed the Polaris 70-Kilogram Title in 2024 and the CJI 2 Grand Prix Title in August 2025.
What’s more, the teen star made history last year by becoming the youngest person to place on an ADCC World Championship podium when she captured a silver medal at just 17 years of age.
In June 2025, Danaher awarded the generational talent her black belt, an unbelievable achievement for someone who is so young and dedicated to her craft.
At ONE Fight Night 39, Crevar will make her debut against another promotional newcomer who is quite accomplished in the grappling arts.
Alo, who trains out of Island Jiu Jitsu in Hawaii, has been building her name in the scene. She became a three-time ADCC Open Champion this year, winning gold in the 60-kilogram category at the ADCC U.S. Open in Atlanta this past May, Oklahoma City in April, and San Jose in March.
The Honolulu native is also a multi-time junior national judo champion and decorated wrestler. In addition to capturing four high school state wrestling titles in Hawaii, Alo is a 2014 FILA Cadet World Champion and USA Wrestling Freestyle National High School Champion.
With that much experience in the grappling arts, the 28-year-old will prove to be a difficult test for Crevar.
