Full Fight Card Revealed For ONE Friday Fights 107 On May 9
ONE Championship will return to the historic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, with another action-packed installment of its weekly Asia primetime event series on Friday, May 9.
ONE Friday Fights 107 features 12 compelling matchups across mixed martial arts and Muay Thai, giving fans plenty of reasons to tune in.
In the headline attraction, undefeated Uzbek phenom Aslamjon Ortikov will square off with main roster athlete Dedduanglek Wankhongohm MBK in a flyweight Muay Thai clash that pits two of the sport’s most promising young talents against each other.
Still just 22 years old, Ortikov has scored six straight wins at ONE Friday Fights – including a trio of highlight-reel finishes – all against some of Thailand’s top strikers. He knows that one more victory could earn him a six-figure contract and a spot on ONE’s main roster.
Dedduanglek, though, hopes to steal his foe’s momentum and prove that he’s the rising star fans should be watching. A Road to ONE: Thailand winner with more than 50 professional victories, the Thai owns the elite technical prowess needed to make waves in the flyweight Muay Thai division.
In atomweight Muay Thai action, 19-year-old Thai standout Junior Fairtex aims to move to 8-0 in ONE when she goes toe-to-toe with Myanmar lethwei legend “The Kayan Leopard” Vero.
A true Muay Thai prodigy, Junior looks to have all the makings of a future ONE World Champion, but Vero, with her rangy striking style and wealth of top-level experience, will be determined to bounce back from a defeat in her promotional debut and derail her adversary’s hype train.
The showcase of young talent doesn’t stop there, as 16-year-old knockout artist “Petsam” Nahyan Mohammed will take on Malaysian standout Adam Sor Dechapan in a 112-pound Muay Thai contest.
Mohammed needed just 50 seconds to starch his opponent in his ONE debut earlier this year, and he’ll look to do the same against a fellow teenage wunderkind in Adam, who at just 17 years old, already boasts 50 professional victories.
ONE Friday Fights 107 will kick off with a must-watch strawweight MMA duel when undefeated scrappers Norika Ryu and Zemfira Alieva lock horns.
Japan’s Ryu will bring a dangerous, submission-hunting style to this clash against the venomous striking and ruthless finishing instincts of Azerbaijan’s Alieva.
