Full Card Revealed For ONE Friday Fights 67 On June 14
The full slate of matchups for ONE Friday Fights 67 is now set, and the card has all the makings of a banger from top to bottom.
Scheduled to go down live in Asia primetime on June 14 at the legendary Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, the event will feature 11 intriguing matchups across Muay Thai and MMA.
In the main event, surging Thai star Nakrob Fairtex will collide with Russian knockout artist “Samingpri” Tagir Khalilov in a flyweight Muay Thai tilt.
After eight thrilling battles at ONE Friday Fights, Nakrob has tasted defeat just once to establish himself as a world-class talent who appears set for international stardom.
Nakrob hopes to continue his climb toward a coveted spot on ONE’s global roster, but standing in his way is the always-dangerous Khalilov.
The Russian is no stranger to elite opposition, having faced ONE World Champions Rodtang Jitmuangnon and Superlek Kiatmoo9 in the past, and his vicious combination striking poses a serious threat to any flyweight on the planet.
Before that, in 136-pound catchweight Muay Thai action, Sibsan Nokkhao KorMor11 and Paidang Lukjaoporongtom will meet in an all-Thai affair that promises fireworks.
Sibsan reeled off four straight wins to begin his tenure at ONE Friday Fights but comes into this contest following his first promotional defeat in January.
A master technician who is equally comfortable kicking at long range as delivering elbows in close, the 29-year-old will face a stiff test against the 24-year-old brawler in Paidang.
Lower on the card, respected Thai scrapper Kongklai Sor Sommai will look to give a rude welcome to decorated promotional newcomer Otis Waghorn in their 140-pound catchweight Muay Thai showdown.
A WKO K-1 Champion and a WBC Muay Thai National Champion, Waghorn has cemented himself as one of Great Britain’s top strikers. He’ll now try to make a statement in his ONE debut and live up to the hype surrounding him.
Also, fans won’t want to miss the bantamweight MMA clash between undefeated Russian sensation Idris Abdurashidov and 22-year-old rising star Kazakbai Tilenov.
Abdurashidov is already an accomplished sambo competitor, and after scoring first-round stoppages through his first three professional MMA bouts, he looks to have all the skills needed to compete with the best.
Tilenov, though, is an incredibly dangerous submission artist and will enter this contest following a TKO win over the highly touted Ivan Parshikov – proving to be just as dangerous with his strikes.
