‘Fight With Every Ounce Of My Soul’ – Rambolek Chases World Title Dream Against Nabil Anane At ONE Friday Fights 147

Rambolek Chor Ajalaboon is one emphatic victory away from the greatest moment of his life.

The 23-year-old knockout artist is set to challenge reigning ONE Bantamweight Muay Thai World Champion Nabil Anane for the gold at ONE Friday Fights 147, broadcasting live in Asia primetime on Friday, March 20, from Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

It is one of the most stacked nights in the weekly series’ history, with two World Title fights topping the card.

Few fighters in the world’s largest martial arts organization have embodied perseverance quite like Rambolek. The Chaiyaphum native made history as the first athlete to earn a six-figure contract with the promotion through ONE Friday Fights.

But after suffering back-to-back defeats early in his tenure, Rambolek rededicated himself to his craft. He quickly reeled off four straight wins to force his way into World Title contention.

The final obstacle was Abdulla “Smash Boy” Dayakaev, a Dagestani mauler riding four straight knockout wins into their ONE Fight Night 39 clash this past January.

He tore Dayakaev apart with debilitating body shots to earn a second-round finish and a US$50,000 performance bonus. The win was a calculated dismantling — a statement of intent on the biggest stage of his career.

Rambolek reflected:

“We trained specifically to attack his body. Watching his tapes, I saw that even when he took a heavy shot from Saemapetch and went down, he got right back up like nothing happened. He has a chin of granite.

“In the second round, I found the opening to his midsection and saw him start to wince. Once I knew I had the range, I just kept digging into his body until I got the win.”

Now comes the hardest part. Nabil Anane is an enigma unlike anything the challenger has ever faced. The towering Algerian-Thai star is a 6-foot-4 force whose physical gifts are matched only by his rapidly evolving skills, and the proof is in the pudding.

Anane captured the interim bantamweight Muay Thai gold with a first-round TKO of ONE Interim Featherweight Muay Thai World Champion Nico “King of the North” Carrillo at ONE 170 in January 2025. He then went on to dismantle pound-for-pound great “The Kicking Machine” Superlek at ONE 172 that same year.

In total, the Team Mehdi Zatout product is riding an eight-fight winning streak, and hasn’t lost since September 2023.

In order to claim the coveted golden belt Rambolek has always dreamed of, the Thai star must push himself further than ever before.

He said:

“The camp has been intense. I’ve become much more disciplined because this is the most important fight of my life. The World Champions at my gym have all been looking over my shoulder, pointing out my flaws and helping me find openings in Nabil’s game.

“Nabil is dangerous everywhere. I thought he only had his height, but he’s improved so much and gotten incredibly strong. I have to be perfect with my distance and timing to land my shots. I’m preparing myself the best I can for that reach.”

Against a generational talent like Anane, Rambolek is expecting the toughest battle of his young career, and he is prepared to go the distance, grind through every round, and see whose resolve breaks first.

With a clear game plan already in place, the Bangkok-based contender is not leaving anything to chance:

“My biggest advantage might be my ability to wear him down. The plan is to feel him out in the early rounds to see if my punches can reach him. I’ve knocked out my last three opponents. If he takes one clean, we’ll see if he can handle it.

“My hunger and confidence are over 100 percent. This is a massive fight. Unless I get knocked out cold, I’m not giving up. I will fight with every ounce of my soul.”

Rambolek Ready To Rewrite His Story Against Anane

Rambolek Chor Ajalaboon harbors no animosity toward the man holding the 26 pounds of gold. However, this rivalry carries an edge that goes beyond the belt.

Nabil Anane’s Team Mehdi Zatout teammate Abdulla Dayakaev was the man Rambolek dismantled to earn this shot, and that has not been forgotten or forgiven.

And while the two have remained cordial outside of the ring, fans can expect the pageantries to fade and the smiles to disappear as soon as the bell rings.

The Superbon Training Camp affiliate explained:

“Nabil is actually a great guy. Whenever we cross paths, he’s always friendly and humble. Even after I won my last fight, he came over to take a photo with me. Other fighters joke that they want to avoid him, but our paths were always meant to cross.

“My ultimate goal is that World Title belt. This fight with Nabil is everything. He’s the champion, and if I want that gold, I have to go through him.”

For Rambolek, this is the culmination of everything he has worked hard for. The trials and setbacks that would have ended most careers only made him harder.

He has earned his place at this level, and on Friday night, he intends to make every sacrifice count.

The 23-year-old warrior offered:

“Winning the World Title would change my life forever. Growing up, I just dreamed of winning any belt, but becoming a ONE World Champion is the pinnacle.

“I’ve worked for this for three years, dealt with all the criticism and the setbacks. I’ve pushed myself to become the number one challenger, and now I’m going to make this dream a reality.”
