Carlo Bumina-ang Vs. Marcos Aurelio Bantamweight MMA Thriller Set For ONE Fight Night 39

ONE Championship continues building its stacked January lineup with the addition of an exciting bantamweight MMA clash between Filipino powerhouse Carlo “The Bull” Bumina-ang and undefeated Brazilian star Marcos Aurelio.

The pair will collide at ONE Fight Night 39: Rambolek vs. Dayakaev on Prime Video, broadcasting live from Bangkok’s prestigious Lumpinee Stadium on January 23 in U.S. primetime.

Bumina-ang enters this contest seeking redemption after his most recent setback. The 31-year-old Team Lakay fighter carries a 7-2 promotional record with six finishes, including four knockouts and two submissions.

His promotional journey began explosively at ONE Friday Fights 27 in August 2023, where he demolished Reza Saedi with a 52-second knockout. The statement victory launched an impressive run that included wins over Denis Andreev, Ilyas Dursun, and Xie Zhipeng.

Bumina-ang’s career reached new heights when he submitted Chayan Oorzhak via second-round ninja choke, securing his fifth consecutive promotional victory and earning a coveted US$100,000 main roster contract.

“The Bull’s” U.S. primetime debut came against now-reigning ONE Bantamweight MMA World Champion Enkh-Orgil Baatarkhuu, who handed him his first promotional loss via submission.

The Filipino responded with authority, delivering TKO victories over “Double Hearts” Song Min Jong at ONE Fight Night 28 and Mauro “Dinamita” Mastromarini at ONE Fight Night 30. However, his winning momentum stalled at ONE Fight Night 37, where undefeated star Elbek Alyshov submitted him with a guillotine choke in round two.

Now facing another undefeated challenger, Bumina-ang aims to start 2026 on winning terms.

Aurelio represents the next generation of Brazilian MMA talent.

The 21-year-old brings a perfect 8-0 professional record to his promotional debut, showcasing well-rounded skills with victories via both TKO and submission. At 5-foot-8, the young Brazilian has proven his finishing ability across all areas of mixed martial arts.

His promotional debut against a battle-tested veteran like Bumina-ang provides an immediate test of his credentials at the highest level.

January’s bantamweight showdown delivers high stakes for both fighters as experience meets undefeated potential in Bangkok.
