When the pioneering Malaysian martial arts star sat down with Michael Schiavello for an episode of ONE On ONE With “The Voice,”  she was asked why she always looked so glamorous whenever she walked to the cage by the ONE play-by-play commentator.

“I’ve always been the way that I am. I enjoy taking care of myself, I enjoy looking good,” she says.

“Being in this sport, you want to make sure that you feel good about yourself.

“If looking good, wearing lipstick, wearing nail polish helps to distract me or get through whatever things I need to go through, then so be it.

“It’s always been a part of me. I’m just doing something else than what I was doing, say five years before that, but being feminine is just who I am.”

You can watch the full, in-depth interview on the ONE YouTube channel, where Osman talks about her early life, becoming an icon in her home country, retirement, and much more.
