Muay Thai War Between Johan Ghazali And Sean Climaco Booked For ONE Fight Night 39
An explosive flyweight Muay Thai duel between Johan “Jojo” Ghazali and Sean “The One” Climaco has been added to ONE Fight Night 39 on Prime Video.
Their scheduled three-round matchup will be part of the world’s largest martial arts organization’s first American primetime card of 2026, which broadcasts live from Bangkok, Thailand’s Lumpinee Stadium on Friday, January 23.
Malaysian-American standout Ghazali returns to action after a tough but rewarding 2025, where he used setbacks as fuel to evolve.
After heading into the year with six victories from seven outings, including a pair of fierce sub-minute finishes against Edgar Tabares and Padetsuk Fairtex, the 19-year-old knockout machine endured a two-match skid in the first half of 2025.
At ONE 170 in January, he suffered a unanimous decision loss to Johan “Panda Kick” Estupinan. Then he was narrowly eked out on the judges’ scorecards by Diego Paez in June.
Those defeats stung, but they only brought out a new version of the Rentap Muaythai Gym and Superbon Training Camp athlete at ONE Fight Night 35 this past September.
He announced his comeback in trademark fashion, putting away Moroccan veteran Zakaria El Jamari in just 2 minutes and 10 seconds for his fourth first-round victory on the global stage.
What made this triumph particularly memorable was that the Sarawakian fighter didn’t just tap into his destructive fists to get the job done. “Jojo” displayed a more well-rounded approach – an ode to the time he’s spent training under reigning ONE Featherweight Kickboxing World Champion Superbon.
Looking to derail his momentum is Climaco, who steps back inside Lumpinee in search of a big win.
The Filipino-American martial artist has gone down in two of his last three appearances after debuting in the organization with a sensational body shot knockout of Josue “Tuzo” Cruz in the opening round at ONE Fight Night 22.
That said, in his setbacks against Akif “King” Guluzada and Estupinan, the 31-year-old American displayed his chops, even dropping “Panda Kick” once before the Colombian took home the win in highlight-reel fashion.
“The One’s” calculated yet aggressive nature should match up well alongside Ghazali’s penchant for producing mayhem and newfound technical excellence – and that only means fight fans should be in for an absolute treat when these two flyweight Muay Thai warriors collide in January of next year.
