‘It Was Instinct’ – Stamp Leaned On Experience For Epic Body Kick Knockout Of Anderson

Stamp Fairtex Alyse Anderson ONE Fight Night 10 53

Fans were excited to see what Stamp Fairtex had to offer in her U.S. debut against Alyse Anderson – yet the Thai fan favorite somehow exceeded expectations.

Stamp delivered a well-rounded performance in her atomweight MMA clash at ONE Fight Night 10: Johnson vs. Moraes III on Prime Video last Friday, May 5. And in the second round, she returned to her Muay Thai roots with a stunning body kick KO that crumpled Anderson.

The #1-ranked contender masterfully fended off the wrestling and grappling of her American foe to dictate the first round.

Along the way, she showcased her continued grappling improvements by staying composed when “Lil’ Savage” tried to throw up a sneaky triangle attack from the bottom.

Stamp recalled:

“The triangle wasn’t really on because it was on my head, and then I just bided my time to pull my head out. I just bought some time. I wasn’t in any danger because my arm wasn’t in there.”

With Anderson running into a brick wall every time she tried to engage, her options looked increasingly limited.

She continued to try to press Stamp into the Circle Wall, but the former ONE Atomweight Muay Thai and Kickboxing World Champion used her vast experience in “the art of eight limbs” to escape and fire off the winning strike.

The Fairtex representative broke down that sequence:

“In Muay Thai, it’s common practice, right? When someone’s in close range, when they break, you fire off a weapon. It was instinct. It was years and years of training.”

Stamp Was ‘Inspired’ By American Fans In Colorado

Stamp Fairtex has continued to elevate her status with each performance, but she was still shocked to receive one of the night’s biggest receptions against a home favorite on U.S. soil.

The 25-year-old felt motivated by the cheers at 1stBank Center – and she used those roars to fuel her highlight-reel finish of Alyse Anderson.

Stamp said:

“I was very surprised and very inspired when the crowd noise was just going crazy when I came out. It gave me so much energy to perform.”

With the memorable win at one of the biggest ONE Championship events in history, Stamp has now officially earned a shot at the ONE Interim Atomweight World Title.

It’s the next step in her martial arts journey – one that’s already taken her to incredible heights in three sports. When asked about her secret to success, the young star said it largely boils down to determination and passion.

She added:

“You have to truly love what you do and just never give up. It’s very simple advice, but I just truly love what I do.”
