About Shakir Al-Tekreeti
Shakir Al-Tekreeti is one of the top fighters to emerge from Iraq’s burgeoning Muay Thai scene.
The Al Nagde Team representative was born in Baghdad, Iraq, and began his martial arts training at 15 years old back in 2012.
He quickly became one of the brightest prospects in the Middle East and most recently won gold at the 2023 Iraqi Muay Thai Championship. He then followed up with a silver medal at the IFMA Asian Championships in the same year.
Al-Tekreeti now calls Pattaya, Thailand, home and has found success competing on the ultra-tough Thai stadium circuit.
With the dream of becoming the ONE Lightweight Muay Thai World Champion, the Iraqi star is now set to test his mettle in the world’s largest martial arts organization.
The first step in that journey is a debut meeting with French standout Bampara Kouyate at the stacked ONE Fight Night 15: Le vs. Freymanov on Prime Video on October 6.
