Pedro “Guerreiro” Dantas

Second-generation MMA fighter Pedro Dantas is carving his own path to greatness one devastating finish at a time.

Born in Ceara, Fortaleza, in northeastern Brazil, Dantas grew up in a challenging environment that shaped his warrior mentality. His mother worked for a bank while his father built a reputation as a professional MMA fighter and coach. After his parents separated when he was young, Dantas lived with his mother and grandmother. However, when his mom put in hours at her job, the Brazilian youngster was hanging out on the streets with his friends and cousins.

The neighborhood wasn’t the safest place to grow up, as Dantas watched many friends go down the wrong path. However, his parents kept him focused on positive pursuits, and his academic excellence shone through as he became a medalist in Brazil’s prestigious math and physics Olympiad competitions.

Everything changed when Dantas was 13 years old. His father Paulo “Guerreiro” Dantas, an MMA pioneer in their home state with 25 career victories, suffered a heart attack while training for a fight. That moment crystallized Dantas’ purpose – he felt it was his duty to continue his dad’s legacy and, with his guidance, surpass even his achievements.

Beginning his combat sports journey at 14, Dantas first competed in kickboxing, compiling an impressive 10-1 record over three years. His striking foundation proved invaluable when he transitioned to mixed martial arts.

Making his professional MMA debut in 2021 at the age of 18, Dantas authored a perfect 6-0 record with a 100 percent finishing rate. His incredible efficiency – never needing more than two rounds to secure victory – caught the attention of ONE Championship and earned him a coveted spot in the world’s largest martial arts organization.
