Copa de Malaysia No-Gi Champion Nurul Fikri is originally from Jakarta, but moved to the neighboring city of Bekasi with his family when he was in elementary school. There, he attended his first Taekwondo classes because his friend was training and he thought it looked cool. Fikri never took to academics, dropping out of high school to pursue his athletic dreams.
Fikri began training in other disciplines including Muay Thai and BJJ and competing under every format he could. He compiled more than 40 bouts in various styles of competition, including six pro mixed martial arts bouts in the span of two years in a regional Indonesian promotion, before joining ONE Championship.
Fikri loves to perform and entertain people, as well as the lifestyle of a competitive martial artist. His strong striking background and considerable grappling skill make him a formidable matchup for any opponent. He is excited to compete at the highest level against top opposition and determined to prove himself in ONE Championship.
