Japanese superstar Shoko Sato announced his arrival in ONE Championship in spectacular fashion when he finished ONE Warrior Series contract winner Mark Fairtex Abelardo at ONE: WARRIORS OF LIGHT. In the first round, Sato used a variety of leg kicks to keep the powerful Filipino-Kiwi at bay.

The Japanese warrior started the second round more aggressively, applying forward pressure to “Tyson” before landing a double leg takedown. From there, Sato landed a huge right hand from open guard that stunned Abelardo, and followed up with heavy ground strikes for the technical knockout!
