Leaning on his superior grappling skills, Japanese legend Shinya Aoki outclassed fellow countryman Koji Ando at ONE: WARRIORS QUEST in Singapore for the second defense of his Lightweight World Title. Ando mounted some offense in the second frame, connecting with stiff jabs on the feet, but Aoki’s takedowns and constant submission threats would prove to be the difference in the matchup. After five hard-fought rounds, it was clear the World Champion had done enough to retain his standing atop the division.
