‘We’ll See Who’s Better’ – Arthur Brossier Targets Dream ONE Debut Against Worapon At ONE Friday Fights 145

Arthur “Codjoe” Brossier has waited his whole career for an opportunity like this, and he has no intention of letting it slip through his fingers.

The French striking sensation will make his ONE Championship debut against Thai veteran Worapon Lukjaoporongtom in the bantamweight Muay Thai main event of ONE Friday Fights 145, airing live in Asia primetime on March 6 from Bangkok’s iconic Lumpinee Stadium.

It is a life-changing privilege for the ONE newcomer, but the headlining act comes with a formidable obstacle.

Worapon arrives with over 100 career fights behind him and has gone 5-1 in his last six ONE appearances. The Thai southpaw is riding a wave of momentum, capped by a first-round head kick knockout that put the notoriously durable Soe “Man of Steel” Lin Oo to sleep at ONE Friday Fights 139.

But the Frenchman has scouted Worapon thoroughly, and he comes with a clear picture of the dangers ahead.

The 26-year-old said:

“I think he has good timing, good counter-striking, and a good left kick. I’ll be aware of that and make sure not to put myself in a bad position.

“I’ll check his timing, move in and out, and stay active — maybe move him around to put him in the wrong position and strike when I see the opportunity.”

Brossier enters the biggest stage in martial arts looking to prove himself and that he is worthy of his serious credentials.

The former European Muay Thai Grand Prix Champion carries a 31-4 record and has stopped his last three opponents by knockout. His arsenal extends beyond Muay Thai, with kickboxing and MMA experience adding layers to a game built on sharp, calculating aggression.

The Choquage representative said:

“I’ll push the pace, but I’ll check first. He’s a counter striker, so if I lose myself, I’ll expose myself. I need to be careful.

“I want to do everything. I want to make his mind think about everything, then capitalize when I see an opening.”

Worapon is equally dangerous in the trenches, and Brossier anticipates a physical, grinding battle. The Thai’s clinch game is among his most devastating weapons, and “Codjoe” has been training for that specific scenario.

Yet the 26-year-old remains unfazed. If anything, he’s been waiting for it:

“I heard he’s a good clincher, but so am I. I do MMA. I love the clinch. We’ll see who’s better in there.”

Brossier Won’t Shrink Under The Bright Lights Of The Global Stage

Arthur Brossier’s path to ONE began long before any contract was signed. His love for the “art of eight limbs” was born at home, ignited by a moment so vivid it set the course of his entire life.

What started as childhood curiosity became a lifelong calling. Years of dedication, sacrifice, and relentless pursuit have all pointed to this stage.

“Codjoe” recalled:

“My big brother went to Thailand to do a stage of Muay Boran. He came back with big shins. When I knocked his shin, it made a sound like a dog. That’s what made me want to do Muay Thai.

“I was small — I was 10. Then, at 14, my friend and I found a gym near our town and decided to go together. I was the last one standing at the end of the year.”

From humble beginnings in France to the hallowed grounds of Lumpinee Stadium, the journey has been anything but accidental.

The sport that first seized his imagination eventually pulled him toward its spiritual home, and on Friday, it delivers him to the world’s largest martial arts stage.

Brossier won’t simply be showing up — he’ll be staking his claim.

He declared:

“For me, it’s not a big deal in terms of pressure. It’s a big opportunity. I want to prove that I deserve my place on this stage. I’ll show my skills, show my level, and they’ll see that this is where I belong.”
