ONE Championship delivered another thrilling night of martial arts action on Friday, August 28, as The Inner Circle 28 broadcast live in Asia primetime from the iconic Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, exclusively for subscribers on live.onefc.com.

Before Worapon Lukjaoporongtom and Lenny Blasi collided in the marquee main event, the undercard provided plenty of its own fireworks. A surging Thai warrior extended his impressive winning streak, while an undefeated phenom preserved his flawless professional record to secure a life-changing US$100,000 main roster contract.

Here is how the early action unfolded inside the fabled arena.

In the evening’s co-main event, Chartpayak Saksatoon secured his third consecutive victory by edging out Rambong Sor Therapat in a tightly contested flyweight Muay Thai thriller.

The opening stanza was a closely competitive battle, highlighted by Rambong landing a thudding body kick that briefly staggered his Thai compatriot. The intensity quickly escalated in the second frame, as both warriors stood their ground and traded blistering punches alongside heavy kicks.

Chartpayak, however, shifted into high gear in the third and final round to make his case to the judges. The surging standout caught his rival’s incoming leg and fired a piston-like left hand that momentarily floored Rambong, earning a significant edge down the stretch.

After three grueling rounds of action, the ringside judges awarded Chartpayak the unanimous decision. The win improved his overall professional record to 72-18 and his promotional slate to an impressive 11-2, moving him one step closer to a coveted US$100,000 main-roster contract.

Ubaid Hussain Stays Perfect, Secures Main-Roster Contract

Ubaid “Bad” Hussain entered his flyweight Muay Thai clash against Isannuea Sor Sasiwat at The Inner Circle 28 with his unblemished record and main-roster ambitions hanging in the balance — and the British-Pakistani star delivered a statement performance on both fronts.

Hussain dictated the pace from the opening bell, utilizing slick footwork and varied attacks. He quickly made his mark, crumpling his opponent to the canvas with a knee to the midsection to score a crucial first-round knockdown.

The 20-year-old phenom maintained control over the remaining frames. He showcased crisp punches and sharp elbows with fluid movement, leaving Isannuea searching for answers en route to a clear-cut unanimous decision victory.

The win improved Hussain’s flawless professional slate to 17-0, capped by an incredible 8-0 run in ONE. More importantly, the performance earned the young striker a life-changing US$100,000 contract to compete on the main roster.

Khasanov, Monguchi Emerge Victorious

In flyweight Muay Thai action, Uzbekistan’s Fakhriddin Khasanov staged a dramatic late rally to overcome Basta “The Algerian Wolf” Abdelmouneme via unanimous decision.

After seemingly trailing on the scorecards through the first two stanzas, the 25-year-old shifted the momentum in the final frame by slicing his Algerian opponent open with a sharp upward elbow. Khasanov then punctuated his comeback by unloading a heavy punching combination that floored “The Algerian Wolf” in the dying seconds of the bout. The clutch knockdown secured the Uzbek standout’s first victory in the weekly series and bumped his professional record to 24-5.

Japan’s Keisuke Monguchi edged out Jung Hyun Woo by split decision in a tightly contested strawweight kickboxing clash to kickstart the event. The hard-fought victory improved the 31-year-old Team Keisuke and Exares representative’s overall professional record to 18-6, securing him his first promotional win.
