The Inner Circle 18 Main Event Result: Tomyamkoong Survives Two Knockdowns, Seals Brilliant Comeback Win

Tomyamkoong Bhumjaithai lands a hard left on Anar Mammadov at The Inner Circle 18.

Tomyamkoong Bhumjaithai produced a gutsy comeback, surviving two early knockdowns to outpoint Anar “Atilla” Mammadov via unanimous decision in the main event of The Inner Circle 18 on Friday, June 12. The flyweight Muay Thai bout aired exclusively on live.onefc.com in Asia primetime from Bangkok’s historic Lumpinee Stadium.

Mammadov came out swinging from the onset as he had promised. A punishing liver shot floored Tomyamkoong near the ropes. The Thai found his feet, only for the Azerbaijani warrior to hammer the same spot seconds later for another eight-count.

With two knockdowns banked, the Team Mehdi Zatout standout launched a fearsome blitz in search of the finish. He upped his aggression and volume, but the brave PK Saenchai Muaythaigym technician gritted his teeth and survived to the bell.

The second round was a different fight entirely. Tomyamkoong restrategized and punished Mammadov every time he recklessly dove in. The Thai even dropped “Atilla” with a brilliant left hook counter to the temple. Short elbows from the clinch opened a gash, and the 22-year-old exploited it relentlessly with follow-up punches to turn the tide of the fight.

Tomyamkoong carried the same blueprint into the final round. He battered his foe with body kicks and sharp elbows at close range, and the accumulated punishment took its toll. “Atilla” kept coming forward, but he had lost his snap, as his punch output visibly diminished.

His adjustments proved decisive at the final bell. The judges saw it the same way across all three scorecards, handing the 22-year-old his fourth straight promotional win and the 128th victory on his resume.
