Tawanchai Vs. Liu, Seksan Vs. Pakorn, Sam-A Vs. Jaosuayai, And More Confirmed For ONE Friday Fights 137 On December 19

Featherweight kickboxers Tawanchai and Liu Mengyeng

ONE Championship will close the year with a bang when ONE Friday Fights 137 returns to Bangkok, Thailand, with a star-studded card on Friday, December 19.

The Asia primetime event features some of combat sport’s biggest names alongside determined contenders chasing US$100,000 main roster contracts with the world’s largest martial arts organization.

In the main event, ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Champion Tawanchai PK Saenchai returns to kickboxing in a three-round showdown with highly touted Chinese spoiler “Spirit Dragon” Liu Mengyang. The high-stakes clash was originally slated for ONE Friday Fights 126 in September, but an injury forced the Thai megastar to withdraw, prompting Liu to face Shadow Singha Mawynn instead.

The Chinese standout impressed that evening, dropping the decorated Thai in round two and earning a unanimous decision victory. Now, he steps into an even tougher test against Tawanchai, who is determined to push his two-sport ambitions.

Before the main event, the Thai capital will host a barrage of explosive Muay Thai and kickboxing showdowns.

Bantamweight Muay Thai takes center stage with three thrilling battles. “Left Meteorite” Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai faces PTT Apichart Farm, Seksan “The Man Who Yields To No One” Or Kwanmuang meets Pakorn PK Saenchai for the third time, and Yod-IQ Or Pimolsri battles Elbrus “The Samurai” Osmanov.

Kulabdam enters the night riding four straight wins, including victories over big names like John Lineker and Felipe Lobo. He now aims for his 12 promotional victory to move closer to the coveted contract. But PTT is equally driven.

After alternating between a loss and a victory in his first two promotional outings, the 28-year-old from Team Mehdi Zatout seeks to launch a sustained run. He dropped a split decision to Elies Abdelali in June, but rebounded strongly with a razor-close win over Alessio Malatesta three months later.

Meanwhile, Seksan and Pakorn reignite a rivalry dating back to 2014. Seksan won their first meeting by decision, only for Pakorn to avenge the result a month later in a rematch. With one win apiece and more than a decade passed, they will finally settle the score on the global stage.

The third bantamweight battle pits Thai technician Yod-IQ against Russian powerhouse Osmanov.

Yod-IQ rides an eight-fight winning streak and has accumulated 11 victories in the promotion, while Osmanov – after a strong 6-1 run in kickboxing – has transitioned seamlessly into Muay Thai.

The Russian star knocked out Kampeetewada Sitthikul in the first round at ONE Friday Fights 117 and dominated former ONE World Title challenger Saemapetch Fairtex for a unanimous decision at ONE Friday Fights 125.

In featherweight Muay Thai, #5-ranked “Smokin’” Jo Nattawut looks to defend his position against surging Iranian striker Mohammad Siasarani, who arrives with a three-fight winning streak.

Nattawut, once on a four-fight surge himself, is now searching for a return to the form that made him a perennial contender. A win over the red-hot 23-year-old could thrust him back into the ONE World Title conversation, but Siasarani aims to continue his ascent toward a main roster deal.

ONE Friday Fights 137 will also mark the return of former two-sport, two-division ONE World Champion Sam-A Gaiyanghadao, who meets fellow Thai knockout artist Jaosuayai Mor Krungthepthonburi in strawweight Muay Thai.

Sam-A reasserted his class at ONE Friday Fights 126 with crisp striking and a unanimous decision victory over Thway Lin Htet.

Jaosuayai, who has spent his entire ONE career at flyweight, seeks to rebound from a narrow decision loss to Akif “King” Guluzada at ONE Fight Night 36 in October – a setback that snapped his five-fight winning streak, which included four knockouts over elite names such as Nakrob Fairtex and Denis “The Bosnian Menace” Puric.

Dropping to strawweight, he aims to spark another dominant run, and the winner could find themselves within reach of the ONE World Title picture.

Another strawweight contest features “Fighting Rooster” Zhang Peimian versus Thongpoon PK Saenchai under kickboxing rules.

The 22-year-old Peimian, widely regarded as China’s future World Champion, hopes to revive his momentum after two consecutive setbacks following his explosive first two promotional victories.

He’ll meet Thongpoon, a fan favorite who went undefeated in his first five ONE bouts before hitting turbulence in recent outings.

With three underwhelming results in his last four fights, the 28-year-old Thai will look to restore his reputation as one of the promotion’s most entertaining athletes.

At ONE Friday Fights 137, both strikers aim to make a crucial statement in their pursuit of renewed contention.
