Tagir Khalilov Out, Jordan Estupinan To Face Hyu In Battle Of Undefeated Strikers At ONE Fight Night 35

ONE Fight Night 35: Buntan vs. Hemetsberger on Prime Video received a minor shake up following Tagir Khalilov’s injury, but the change has only heightened the intrigue. Now, two undefeated strikers will square off on Friday, September 5.

Japan’s striking ace Hyu will take on Colombian dynamo Jordan Estupinan in a flyweight kickboxing showdown at the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand – a matchup that pits precision against relentless pressure in a battle with possible rankings implications.

Hyu comes to the contest with a perfect 11-0 slate, including three wins in ONE Championship.

Since joining the world’s largest martial arts organization in 2024, he’s showcased the power and versatility that makes him one of Japan’s most exciting strikers.

The 22-year-old debuted with a unanimous decision victory over Youcef Saad at ONE Friday Fights 81. He followed that up with a second-round TKO of Leandro Miranda after unleashing a storm of punches, knees, and kicks at ONE Friday Fights 96.

Most recently, the Team Mehdi Zatout and TEAM3K representative delivered a crushing first-round knockout of Zakaria El Jamari at ONE 172 in March this year.

Those performances have solidified him as one of Japan’s brightest martial artists, and now he’s looking to reassert himself into the divisional picture with another victory on the global stage.

On the other side, Estupinan has quickly built his own reputation as a dazzling slugger in combat sports.

He arrived in ONE with an unblemished record and immediately turned heads at ONE 170 by ending Freddie Haggerty’s three-fight winning streak. In that flyweight Muay Thai clash, Estupinan floored the British striker twice with heavy punches en route to a unanimous decision.

He carried that momentum into ONE Fight Night 31, where he once again impressed, outworking Ali Saldoev with pace and volume to secure another dominant victory. That run lifted his record to 9-0 and established him as an exciting name in the stacked flyweight ranks.

Now competing under kickboxing rules, the Colombian looks to extend his dominance and prove he belongs among the division’s elite.

Whoever delivers a statement performance on September 5 could put their name on the cusp of the division’s upper echelon, where household names like ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Champion Superlek, former ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon, and former multi-division K1 Champion Takeru Segawa await.
