Undefeated English-Pakistani slugger Ubaid “Bad” Hussain survived a breathless three-round war to claim a unanimous decision over Panpadej NF Looksuan in the flyweight Muay Thai main event at ONE Friday Fights 151, which emanated live in Asia primetime from Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, on April 24.

Two fighters with identical 5-0 records on the global stage met knowing only one would leave with that record intact and a sixth straight triumph – and they wasted no time getting to it.

Fists flew within seconds of the opening bell, and neither man let off the gas from that moment forward, keeping up a dizzying pace that had the crowd on their feet. Panpadej edged the opener with cleaner shots that did the more visible damage.

The second round was more of the same chaos. Punches flew from every direction with both youngsters going all out in search of a statement.

The 20-year-old Kiatphontip representative walked his opponent down behind heavy leather. On the other end, Panpadej created angles and countered.

But whenever the two locked up in the clinch, the Thai made him pay, driving knees into his stomach and legs to sap the British-Pakistani fighter’s energy.

The third round belonged to Hussain. The two threw crushing hooks alongside the ropes until the England-based fighter sent his 24-year-old adversary to the canvas with a perfectly timed right hand. Panpadej answered the eight-count and fought on, but he couldn’t claw back the deficit on the scorecards.

As a result, Hussain upped his pristine record to 15-0 and announced himself as a serious possible future recipient of the US$100,000 contract and main roster spot with ONE Championship.
