ONE Friday Fights 140 Main Event Result: Kongchai Outlasts Thway Lin Htet In Three-Round Barnburner
Former Rajadamnern Stadium Muay Thai World Champion Kongchai Chanaidonmueang made history in the ONE Friday Fights 140 main event, live in Asia primetime, on January 30, claiming a unanimous decision victory over Myanmar powerhouse Thway Lin Htet.
The 23-year-old, who competed in his record 16th ONE Friday Fights appearance, brought his usual swag into this strawweight Muay Thai clash, entering the pocket from the sound of the bell with fiery attacks.

Kongchai tucked his chin and swung looping overhands at the 22-year-old lethwei specialist in the opening frame. Thway kept rushing forward to close the distance, but the Thai dynamo neutralized his aggression by tying him up in the clinch.
The Tor Sangtiennoi man and his dance partner wasted no time trading in the second stanza. Both warriors traded heavy shots to the lead leg. Each of those kicks landed with power and precision.
Though the Myanmarese continued pressing forward and attempted flashy spinning back elbows and fists, Kongchai’s clinch work proved superior as he landed knees while staying close enough to avoid absorbing damage.

The final frame saw the Phyo Wai Group athletes’ spinning attacks become predictable, giving Kongchai openings to evade and counter with accurate straight lefts.
While his fists did damage upstairs, the Thai technician pierced through his rival’s defense with solid kicks in the third canto, which only added more misery on Thway’s end.
After three entertaining rounds, all three judges at ringside awarded Kongchai the win to take his slate to an impressive 77-16. It was the perfect way for the 23-year-old to cement his legacy as ONE Friday Fights’ most prolific competitor.
