ONE Friday Fights 136 Results: Lee Seals Main Roster Contract, Kelat Nets Another Insane KO

Ali Kelat Petkhaokradong Lukjaomaesaithong ONE Friday Fights 136 8

ONE Championship continued to entertain the global fanbase with ONE Friday Fights 136 on December 12 in Bangkok, Thailand.

All 11 Muay Thai, MMA, and submission grappling contests on the weekly Asia primetime spectacle delivered highlight-reel moments and fierce battles that went the limit, and to cap off the night, a fighter who has been making waves on the global stage earned a six-figure main roster contract.

If you missed any of the action, here’s what unfolded inside the legendary Lumpinee Stadium this past Friday.

Kelat’s Uppercut From Hell Rocks Petkhaokradong In One Round

Turkish bruiser Ali Kelat made it back-to-back knockouts in the organization, this time against Petkhaokradong Lukjaomaesaithong in their lightweight Muay Thai clash.

After debuting with a second-round finish of Michael Baranov at ONE Friday Fights 121 this past August, his potent striking arsenal helped him seal the deal in just 100 seconds.

The 26-year-old backed his Thai counterpart toward the ropes and opened up with a sharp punching sequence. The Team Mehdi Zatout athlete then wrapped things up with a stabbing knee followed by a crushing uppercut that dropped Petkhaokradong to the canvas.

The Lukjaomaesaithong warrior tried to beat the count, but couldn’t recover in time, prompting the referee to wave off the bout at 1:40 of the opening round. As a result, Kelat improved to 20-2 in his career.

Bakhtin Edges Alipourandi In Intense Firefight

Undefeated Russian slugger Maksim Bakhtin emerged victorious over Abolfazl “White Wolf” Alipourandi in a tightly contested lightweight Muay Thai battle that went down to the wire.

Once the bell sounded, both fighters wasted no time going to work. The 22-year-old Russian leaned on his trademark spinning back kicks and sharp elbows, while Alipourandi answered with punches and kicks of his own.

“White Wolf” swarmed his foe with repeated high kicks to take charge in round two. Bakhtin, however, stayed composed and read every attack well, giving him some confidence boost as round three got underway.

The Muay Thai Union affiliate was at his sparkling best in the final stanza, and his four-inch height advantage helped him control range and catch Alipourandi with a right hand that briefly staggered him before the final bell.

After three entertaining rounds, Bakhtin eked out a split decision win that took his unblemished slate to 12-0.

Lee Makes Quick Work Of Naibaho, Secures Six-Figure Deal

South Korea’s Lee “The Flash” Seung Chul wrapped up his fourth outing on the global stage with a first-round submission against Cueng “Silent Killer” Naibaho, thus earning the coveted US$100,000 main roster contract.

Right off the opening bell of this strawweight MMA matchup, Lee stepped forward, tied Naibaho up, and dragged the fight to the mat, using a leg sweep and body control to put the Indonesian on his back. Once he secured back control, the end came swiftly.

The 26-year-old initially threatened with a rear-naked choke. But after a failed attempt, he mixed in heavy ground-and-pound as bait, before slipping his arm under the chin again when a clearer opening appeared to tighten the choke and force a tap at 3:02 in the first round.

With the victory, Lee extended his winning streak to 11 and improved his record to 11-1, including four triumphs in ONE Friday Fights.
