Momentum is a dangerous weapon, and Samingdam NF Looksuan will carry plenty of it into his ONE Friday Fights 141 headliner against fellow Thai striker Komawut FA Group.

The three-round flyweight Muay Thai bout will air live in Asia primetime on February 6 from Bangkok’s legendary Lumpinee Stadium, with both men eyeing a crucial step forward in a stacked division.

Samingdam’s journey through the ONE Friday Fights crucible has been a roller coaster. The 23-year-old got off to a rocky 4-3 start, struggling to find consistency against the weekly series’ relentless competition.

But 2025 saw a different, more determined fighter emerge. Dominant victories over Moe Htet Aung, Amir Naseri, and a tactical decision win over Sonrak Fairtex at ONE Friday Fights 119 signaled a breakthrough.

The Looksuan product has come a long way, yet he remains far from satisfied. For Samingdam, this surge is proof of progress, not the finish line.

He told onefc.com:

“Getting three wins in a row is a massive confidence booster. It really lit a fire under me. I feel like I still have so much to learn. Every time I get in there, it’s a lesson.

“I started as a no-name fighter, and now people actually know who I am. That’s a huge win for me already.”

While a pesky hand injury briefly stalled his momentum, Samingdam is now fully healed and hungry to reach new heights in 2026.

Standing in his way is Komawut. On paper, the two are mirror images — heavy hitters with knockout power and a willingness to trade. But recent results tell different stories. Samingdam is peaking, while the FA Group star seeks to snap a four-fight slide.

Yet Samingdam won’t make the mistake of overlooking his opponent. He knows desperation fuels fire, and his foe has plenty of it.

The Thai warrior explained:

“Komawut is dangerous. He’s like me — heavy hands, heavy kicks, and maybe a bit of a defensive hole. He’s been struggling since that KO loss to Suakim. A loss like that messes with your head.

“The pressure on him must be insane because his back is against the wall. But that makes him hungry. I won’t underestimate him, but I won’t let him win either.”

Preparation has fueled Samingdam’s rise, and he’s crafted another sound game plan for his compatriot.

He expects Komawut to push the pace early, but the 23-year-old has countermeasures ready. If his opponent wants a war, he’s ready to give him one.

Samingdam declared:

“We’ve been working on my timing for the counter-strikes. If I catch him clean, he’s going down. We’re both brawlers, so there won’t be any dancing around.

“We’re going to meet in the middle and trade. If I see an opening for the finish, I’m taking it immediately.”

Samingdam Eyes Life-Changing Contract With Statement Win

Motivation has never been higher for Samingdam NF Looksuan, who seeks to earn a US$100,000 contract and join the world’s largest martial arts organization’s main roster.

He patiently watched fellow strikers realize their dreams on the weekly series, and now he believes his moment is within reach. A decisive victory over Komawut FA Group would prove he belongs.

He stated:

“My ultimate goal is the ONE Championship contract. That’s the dream. I just want to keep putting on shows until I catch the boss’ eye.

“He’s fought Suakim, a guy with a main roster contract. If I beat Komawut, it proves I’m ready for that contract too. I’m not going to be his ‘get-back’ fight.”

While flying under the radar doesn’t bother Samingdam, he believes 2026 is the year everything changes for him. The 23-year-old has finally found his footing and he refuses to let it slip.

With his confidence at an all-time high, he remains grounded and locked in on the task at hand.

On February 6, the NF Looksuan product will look to seize his moment and take another step toward his ultimate goal.

Samingdam concluded:

“I’m not calling anyone out specifically because this flyweight division is full of monsters. I’m still on the bottom steps of the ladder. I’m just focused on climbing one at a time.

“I’m coming back to bring the heat, stack another win, and fight even more aggressively than before. I’m going to make sure everyone remembers the name Samingdam.”
