‘I Want To Secure It’ – Kongchai Hunts A Life-Changing Contract And Statement Finish At The Inner Circle
A life-changing deal is closer than it has ever been, and Kongchai Chanaidonmueang has every intention of slamming the door shut on the conversation in the main event of The Inner Circle this Friday, June 5.
The former Rajadamnern Stadium Muay Thai World Champion stars in a high-stakes strawweight Muay Thai battle against Moldovan standout Valerii Strungari inside Bangkok’s legendary Lumpinee Stadium. The entire card streams live for subscribers on live.onefc.com.
Kongchai walks into this contest with a formidable 78-16 resume built across nearly every corner of the Muay Thai circuit. The 23-year-old also brings a veteran composure that has powered him to three consecutive victories, culminating in a dominant unanimous decision win over Mehrdad “Black Wolf” Khanzadeh this past March.
The Tor Sangtiennoi product is not interested in slowing down. If anything, he is ready to step on the gas in search of a coveted US$100,000 main-roster contract.
He told onefc.com:
“If I can execute a flawless performance and put Valerii away, it puts me right back into the ONE main contract conversation. I want to secure it this year.
“The strawweight division is packed with elite talent right now. If I pass this test, I want to start matching up against guys who already are on a ONE contract so I can prove I belong on that next tier.”
The young gun is not just dreaming big, of course. He is putting in the grueling work to turn that goal into a reality throughout every sparring round at Tor Sangtiennoi in Pathum Thani, Thailand.
He has meticulously studied both of Strungari’s fights on the global stage, including his recent loss to Denkriangkrai Mavinn Muaythai at ONE Friday Fights 148.
Though the 24-year-old was exposed in that matchup, Kongchai believes it also showcased his absolute fearlessness to stand and trade with aggressive fighters.
He explained:
“Valerii is incredibly durable and can take a shot. He’s tough as nails. His chin is solid, and he throws heavy punches. Even in his last loss, he looked decent. I honestly think the only thing he lacks is good fight IQ and ring experience.
“That said, I approach every single camp with the same 100 percent intensity, regardless of who’s across from me. I’ll need to rely on my power to break him down. I absolutely cannot afford to be complacent.”
As such, the striking specialist has his eyes firmly locked on a highlight-reel moment that puts the contract conversation to bed, and he believes Strungari’s heavy-handed, forward-marching style sets the perfect table for exactly that result.
Of his 11 promotional victories, only two have arrived inside the distance. Kongchai knows his finishing percentage carries genuine room for growth, and he has identified the exact dimensions he plans to sharpen come June 5.
The 23-year-old added:
“The biggest issue I want to fix is that lack of a killer instinct. My finishing sequences just aren’t clinical enough. On top of that, I need to push the pace, make my combinations faster, and keep them fluid.
“If I step on the gas, throw heavy volume, and pressure him continuously, I don’t think he’ll be able to take it. My left kick is fully loaded, and I’m highly confident it will dismantle his durability.”
Kongchai Carries A Deeper Purpose Into The Inner Circle
Kongchai Chanaidonmueang carries a quieter weight into the ring at The Inner Circle — one that goes far beyond the win column.
A statement display against Strungari could unlock a massive performance bonus, which could go a long way toward helping the person who matters most to the Thai striker.
The Bangkok native reflected:
“This fight will show whether I’ve improved on seizing the finish. Besides, I want a knockout and that bonus so badly this time because it will significantly help me take care of my dad.
“He’s been in the hospital for the last two to three months dealing with a brain abscess. All I want right now is to bring this victory back to him to boost his spirits so he can recover quickly.”
The stakes simply do not get any higher than this. A massive contract is within reach, a father is waiting in a hospital bed, and a divisional ladder is ready to make room for one more rising name.
Kongchai is not walking into The Inner Circle with anything left to hold back, and the Thai veteran wants every fan tuning in on Friday to know exactly what they are about to witness.
He concluded:
“To all my fans out there, please tune in and cheer for me this Friday. I am going to leave everything inside that ring to bring home win number four.
“I promise to put on an action-packed and memorable performance for everyone watching. I’m going to bring glory back to my team and my gym. I am fully locked in to keep this win streak rolling.”
