‘A Beautiful Knockout’ – Worapon Looks To Extend His Surge Against Julio Lobo At ONE Friday Fights 135
Worapon Lukjaoporongtom has been one of the breakout stars of 2025, and at ONE Friday Fights 135 on November 28, he’ll look to close the year with his most important win yet.
The 23-year-old returns to the legendary Lumpinee Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand, where he meets Brazilian veteran Julio Lobo in a high-stakes bantamweight Muay Thai main event.
Riding a four-fight winning streak, including a first-round TKO of Kongkula Jitmuangnon in October, the Sor Dechapan standout has become one of the most dangerous clinch fighters in the weekly Asia primetime spectacle – and now he’s aiming to deliver another highlight-reel finish.
He said:
“This fight is my final bout of the year, and I am determined to continue my strong performance by achieving five straight victories. If possible, I want to close the year with a beautiful knockout, hoping to secure a bonus to celebrate the New Year holiday with my family.
“I am confident I will get another win to make a strong statement in the bantamweight division.”
Worapon’s self-belief comes from consistency, pressure, and a renewed sense of purpose.
After once enduring a difficult stretch of losses, he has now rebuilt himself into one of the most dependable finishers in the series.
He said:
“My four consecutive wins have boosted my confidence both physically and mentally. I’m ready to fight any opponent and have nothing to worry about. The main factors recently are my focus, intense training, and great support from my family, all of which have led to these consistent, strong results.”
With momentum behind him, Worapon continues to chase evolution. Even as fans begin to recognize his rise, he refuses to be satisfied.
And now, standing in front of him is a seasoned, dangerous opponent.
He said:
“I want to increase the variety of my weapons so that fans remember me more. I hope to become a more exciting fighter that everyone looks forward to watching. Right now, the fans are starting to pay attention, and I’m gaining more recognition. That encouragement motivates me to keep performing well.”
Worapon Sees Opportunities In Lobo’s Small-Glove Transition
Julio Lobo is no stranger to high-level Muay Thai. A former Omnoi Stadium Champion with elite clinch skills and years of experience on the Thai circuit, the Brazilian brings size, strength, and world-class technique into the matchup.
But Worapon Lukjaoporongtom believes the ONE rule set – especially the small 4-ounce gloves and three-round format – gives him a critical edge in their bantamweight Muay Thai encounter.
Lobo showed his power and precision against Kaonar Sor Jor Thongprajin at ONE Friday Fights 42, where he knocked out the Thai veteran with destructive punches in the third round.
But Worapon also noticed vulnerability in Lobo’s TKO loss to Kulabdam Sor Jor Piek Uthai in his most recent outing at ONE Friday Fights 52.
He said:
“I studied Julio’s fighting. He’s a brawler who walks forward, punches, kicks, and clinches. He’s a good aggressive fighter, but his in-and-out footwork is not very fast.
“I won’t focus heavily on the clinch game in this fight as much as I did against previous foreign opponents because Julio is tall, long, and defends well. I plan to use low kicks alternating with punches to attack, gradually finding openings to penetrate, and if a chance arises to finish the fight, I’ll take it immediately.”
A win over a respectable opponent would cap a brilliant year for Worapon, who has collected four victories in 2025.
A fifth consecutive win would move him even closer to his long-term target – earning a coveted ONE Championship main-roster contract.
He said:
“If I secure a fifth consecutive win, it should move me much closer to earning a ONE contract. I believe I only need a few more wins after this to successfully achieve my goal of reaching the global stage. I am trying to consistently secure impressive victories to make this goal a reality.”
