ONE Friday Fights 144 Results: Kongklai Drops Habibpour Twice En Route To Second-Round TKO
Kongklai Sor Sommai extended his winning streak to three in highlight-reel fashion against Mohammad “Prince of Persia” Habibpour in their bantamweight Muay Thai featured bout at ONE Friday Fights 144.
The contest aired live in Asia primetime on Friday, February 27, from Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium, where the Thai striker imposed his physicality from the opening bell.
The Thai scored the first knockdown inside the opening minute. During a clinch exchange, the Sor Sommai and PK Saenchai Muaythaigym man absorbed punches to the body but answered with three consecutive knees to the midsection that sent Habibpour down to the canvas.

The second round followed a similar pattern. Habibpour attempted to close the distance behind heavy punches, but Kongklai controlled range with his kicks before reestablishing dominance in the clinch.
Once again, the Iranian found himself trapped at close quarters, where the 27-year-old connected with a salvo of knees for another eight-count. Although Habibpour beat the count, the Thai sensed the finish.
He unleashed a mix of shots until the referee stepped in and called off the contest at 2:47 of round two. The stoppage marked Kongklai’s third consecutive victory on the global stage and improved his professional record to 83-22.
