‘I Don’t Want Him To Back Down’ – Duangsompong Jitmuangnon Calls For War Against Batman Or.Atchariya

Muay Thai fighter Duangsompong Jitmuangnon

Duangsompong Jitmuangnon has put in hard work on the elite Bangkok circuit. Now, he’s ready to showcase his elite striking skills on the global stage of martial arts.

The Thai striker will debut against Batman Or.Atchariya in a flyweight Muay Thai battle at ONE Friday Fights 4 on February 10, and he recognizes that getting a main event slot in his first promotional appearance is a massive opportunity.

Duangsompong has been eagerly awaiting his chance to compete under the ONE banner, and he can’t wait to strap on the 4-ounce gloves at Lumpinee Boxing Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand.

The 24-year-old said:

“When I knew that I was going to fight at ONE Lumpinee, I was really happy and excited. After watching my former opponents like Komawut FA.Group and Chorfah Tor.Sangtiennoi appear on ONE Lumpinee, it made me excited. Plus, I have never fought wearing small gloves before.”

Duangsompong’s excitement also stems from his time spent alongside ONE Flyweight Muay Thai World Champion Rodtang Jitmuangnon.

Having watched Rodtang become a global superstar due to his success in the organization, Duangsompong is now determined to follow in his teammate’s footsteps.

Competing at the iconic Lumpinee Boxing Stadium is the first step of that journey, but the rising star is also hoping to take part in other events around the globe.

He said:

“I will do my best in this fight so I can get promoted to fight on ONE Championship’s [arena] cards. It has always been my dream to compete in the big events of ONE Championship.

“When I watch Rodtang fight, I want to become a ONE World Champion and earn a lot of money like him.”

Duangsompong Vows To Bring The Heat In ONE Debut

Duangsompong Jitmuangnon desperately wants to make a strong first impression by delivering a memorable performance in his first ONE Championship bout this Friday.

The Bangkok resident is planning to fight aggressively in order to entertain the home crowd, and he hopes Batman Or.Atchariya will bring a similar mindset into their contest.

Duangsompong explained:

“I’ve always followed Batman’s performances. He’s a skilled fighter. But I want him to trade blows with me in our fight. I don’t want him to back down too much.”

Above all, Duangsompong is hoping to provide an all-action performance that makes it impossible to forget his name.

He knows that Batman – a former Lumpinee Stadium Muay Thai World Champion – owns a dangerous skill set, but he feels prepared to slug his way to a debut victory.

Duangsompong added:

“Batman’s strengths are probably his kicks and flying knees.  But I’m not afraid of them. I’ve focused on training and neutralizing his game. I just have to watch out for his punches, elbows, and counters.

“My game plan is to walk toward him, but I have to be more concise than before.”
