The Filipino outpointed Ev in a five-round main event, where all three judges scored in favour of the home favourite at the ONE Championship: King of Destiny in Manila on Friday.

The spotlight was on Angela Lee as she prepared to defend her ONE Championship atomweight world title back in March but it was impossible not to notice the young man who followed her into the cage. The 21-year-old will take on ONE welterweight world champion Ben “Funky” Askren at the ONE: Dynasty Of Heroes at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on May 26.

One Championship welterweight champion Ben Askren of the United States will face Malaysian Agilan Thani at next month’s One: Dynasty of Heroes at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
