नोबुतत्सु सुजुकी

A resident of Tokyo, Japan, former ONE Welterweight World Champion Nobutatsu Suzuki began training in Kyokushin karate when he was 15 years old, eventually earning his black belt in the full-contact discipline. A tremendously talented martial artist, Suzuki soon became a five-time heavyweight champion in Kyokushin karate, and subsequently set his sights on mixed martial arts.

Suzuki’s streak of success in this new endeavor continued, as he established himself as one of the top competitors in Japan, with all of his wins coming by way of knockout. This brought him to ONE Championship, where he made a successful promotional debut with his sixth first-round TKO, this time over seasoned veteran Phil Baroni.

In his very next bout, Suzuki reached the pinnacle of his career when he captured the ONE Welterweight World Championship by defeating UFC veteran Brock Larson at ONE: WAR OF NATIONS. After losing his belt to reigning champion Ben Askren, the knockout artist took some time off to sharpen the holes in his game, and moved down to lightweight to start another world title campaign.
