Zhao Chongyang

Hailing from Bozhou in China’s Anhui province, Zhao Chongyang is a seasoned kickboxer who has brought his heavy punches, dangerous kicks, and competitive spirit to ONE Championship. Representing X-Level Fighting Club, the Chinese striker is determined to establish himself among the best in the world.

Zhao began training in martial arts at a young age, initially studying sanda before transitioning to boxing. He developed a strong foundation in the hands and earned recognition in regional competitions, but his ambitions eventually led him toward professional kickboxing.

As he tested himself in the ring, Zhao began making a name through eye-catching performances against established opponents. In 2017, he knocked out Ilias Ennahachi, who would later become the ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Champion. He also defeated Thai striking icon Seksan Or Kwanmuang, demonstrating his versatility.

In 2019, Zhao claimed an Enfusion Title after stopping Dutch kickboxer Pietro Doorje. He later added another notable achievement in 2024, overcoming dangerous opponents to win his bracket in a Wu Lin Feng tournament. These experiences strengthened both his technical skills and his belief that he could compete on a bigger stage.

Always eager to test himself against high-level opposition, Zhao remained focused on taking the next step in his career. His perseverance eventually led him to ONE Championship, where he embraced the opportunity to showcase his skills against elite international competition.

In September 2025. Zhao made an unforgettable promotional debut against Iran’s Arman Moradi, producing a spectacular second-round head-kick knockout at Bangkok’s Lumpinee Stadium. The performance introduced his striking ability to ONE Championship’s global fan base and marked an important chapter in his career.

Zhao has since continued testing himself against demanding opposition in ONE Championship’s bantamweight kickboxing ranks. He views the promotion as the ideal place to represent Chinese martial arts and prove that he belongs among the world’s elite strikers.
