“Zhuang Han” Xu Chun Yan

Status: Former ONE Athlete

A WBC International Female Super Featherweight Champion, Xu Chun Yan is from Dalian, a port city in China’s Liaoning province. An active, mischievous child, Xu would often play and roughhouse with boys, contributing to her inherent toughness today. She was sent to live at a sports school in Ningbo as a teenager, where she trained in boxing.

It paid immense dividends, as she now credits boxing with saving her from juvenile delinquency, and subsequently fell in love with martial arts. She later added Brazilian jiu-jitsu to her training in 2012, and soon decided to test her budding skills in the cage. She loves the challenge of competition, and hopes to inspire youths in China as a role model.
