Renzo Gracie Eats The Bee, Not The Honey

Renzo Gracie makes his ONE Championship debut

Renzo Gracie always had a reputation for being an extremely tough and fearless individual.

The Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu legend further proved that when he came out of mixed martial arts retirement, challenged Japanese veteran Yuki Kondo at ONE: REIGN OF KINGS in July 2018, and submitted him via rear-naked choke.

Although the 53-year-old has not stepped into the Circle lately, he is continuously displaying random acts of fearlessness and toughness.

Gracie’s most recent act involves catching a live bee and then devouring it.

On a dreary afternoon in the New Jersey suburbs, Gracie recorded an Instagram video and stared right at his phone’s camera.

It felt as if he was about to give an inspirational speech, but in mid-sentence, he opened his mouth, revealed a bee on his tongue, and then ate the insect like it was a Reese’s Pieces buttercup.

“Where I was raised, real men eat the bee, not the honey,” he said. Then, he flashed his trademark smile and chuckled.

Gracie certainly proved he was a real man when he devoured that bee, and he may have just given birth to the next big social media craze.
