Victorio “Indra” Senduk (6-1) may be down, but he is far from out.

The martial arts hero from West Java, Indonesia suffered his first career blemish at ONE: GRIT & GLORY in May, when Cambodia’s Sor Sey out-worked him en route to a unanimous decision victory.

In response, the Indonesian combat sports veteran has committed to the most comprehensive training camp of his life to make sure his setback is a one-off experience.

First, he decided to move down from the featherweight division to bantamweight. Also, his management team, Team Electra, is working closely with his head coach to ensure he is building up his endurance and receiving the technical training he needs to succeed.

Senduk believes all of this will pay off when he meets fellow countryman “The Terminator” Sunoto at ONE: CONQUEST OF HEROES, which takes place at the Jakarta Convention Center.

“I am determined to bounce back, especially with the support of my team,” he says.

“They have been continuously motivating me and lifting me up to bounce back. My manager, coaches, and sparring partners are working together to assist me, as well as my family.”

“I want to show that my last defeat was not the end. Instead, it has pushed me to prove that I am capable of making a comeback by training even harder with my team. I can rise up, and I will become stronger than ever.”

In Sunoto, he faces a well-rounded athlete who has a decorated background.

The 33-year-old East Java native is a WKF Indonesia Champion, a member of the national sambo team, and a brown belt in Japanese jiu-jitsu.

He has used his unique skill set to great success, and recorded an impressive four-bout win streak before it was snapped by Shuya “Stealth” Kamikubo in June.

Despite this, “Indra” believes he maintains an advantage over his adversary. The wushu expert believes his striking, ability to control the cage, and veteran expertise will provide him with an edge.

“I will let everything out. I promise to do my best when I fight him,” he says.

“I know that Sunoto is younger, but I can say that I am his senior in martial arts, and I have more experience.”

After almost six years away from ONE Championship, “Indra” has proven that age is not a barrier to success.

He demonstrated that in his return to action at ONE: KINGS OF COURAGE in January, when he defeated Yohan “The Iceman” Mulia Legowo via TKO in the second round.

Senduk knows he has what it takes to compete with the best athletes in the world’s largest martial arts organization, and a victory over Sunoto this coming Saturday will reaffirm that and elevate him up the bantamweight ranks.

“All fighters aim for victory, no exceptions” he explains.

“For me, whomever I am competing against in my weight division will not be a problem, including Sunoto.

“I want to become a champion and hold that World Championship belt. I can only train harder, coordinate well with my team, and pray for the best outcome.”
