The famed Petchyindee Academy continues to produce world-class Muay Thai fighters, and one of the Bangkok camp’s most popular stars has finally joined the world’s largest martial arts organization.

Rittewada Petchyindee Academy will officially fight under the ONE Championship banner, and he intends to compete as a bantamweight in two striking sports.

“I am very happy to be a part of ONE Championship, which is a huge global stage,” the 25-year-old southpaw says.

“It is a great opportunity for me to showcase my skills on the global stage and meet some of the best fighters from around the world, where I am determined to prove myself. My aim is to compete in both Muay Thai rules and kickboxing.”

Rittewada has competed in Muay Thai for the past 17 years, compiling an astonishing 90-25-5 record.

He’s used his speed, fight IQ, and technical prowess to beat a who’s who in “the art of eight limbs,” including “The Lightning Knee” Yodpanomrung Jitmuangnon, “The Kicking Machine” Superlek Kiatmoo9, and Pakorn PK.Saenchai Muaythaigym.

Along the way, Rittewada has earned many prestigious accolades, including the Channel 7 Stadium Title in 2014, the WMC World Title in 2016, and a Lumpinee Stadium World Championship in 2017 – all in the 140-pound weight category.

Also, he was named the Channel 7 Stadium Fighter of the Year in 2015.

In addition to his dazzling Muay Thai career, Rittewada competed as a member of Thailand’s national amateur boxing team.

Rittewada now joins many of his teammates in The Home of Martial Arts, including ONE Featherweight Muay Thai World Champion Petchmorakot Petchyindee Academy, ONE Bantamweight Kickboxing World Champion Capitan Petchyindee Academy, and former ONE Flyweight Kickboxing World Champion Petchdam “The Baby Shark” Petchyindee Academy.

The southpaw hopes to follow in their footsteps and become the camp’s fourth member to strike gold on the global stage. But he knows the road ahead will be difficult, and he plans to prepare accordingly.

“From now on, I have to focus on my training,” Rittewada says.

“I will have to adjust my fighting style and training to match the show and impress the fans. I will do my best to reach my ultimate goal of becoming a ONE World Champion.”
