ONE Championship is coming to North American television.

The promotion has confirmed an exclusive multi-year contract with Turner Sports, beginning in January 2019.

The deal will see ONE content broadcast on Turner’s platforms including TNT, which is received by more than 90 million households in the United States alone, as well as online streaming platform B/R Live, and other Turner properties.

B/R Live – Turner’s live sports streaming service – will be the primary destination for ONE Championship live events. It will present its first live ONE event on Saturday, 19  January, as ONE: ETERNAL GLORY broadcasts live from Jakarta, Indonesia.

That will be the first of 24 planned events scheduled for next year.

B/R Live will also distribute shoulder programming surrounding the live event experience, and TNT will televise at least 12 one-hour, taped re-airs featuring ONE events throughout the year.

Turner has long been one of the leading TV networks on North American cable television, broadcasting to millions of households in the United States and across the globe.

The company is known as the home of the NBA, and for producing a wide array of other sporting content including NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball, golf’s PGA Championship, and UEFA Champions League soccer.

Turner owns and operates some of the best-known media brands in the world, including Adult Swim, Bleacher Report, Boomerang, Cartoon Network, CNN, ELEAGUE, Great Big Story, HLN, iStreamPlanet, TBS, Turner Classic Movies (TCM), TNT, truTV and Turner Sports.

This news comes on the heels of ONE Championship’s major moves in late 2018. ONE made headlines when it signed high-profile martial arts talents Eddie “The Underground King” Alvarez and Demetrious “Mighty Mouse” Johnson, who were introduced to fans during ONE: HEART OF THE LION event week in Singapore.

The company also appointed women’s mixed martial arts icon Miesha Tate as a Vice President, recruited martial arts prodigy “Super” Sage Northcutt, and unveiled Japanese Korean icon Yoshihiro “Sexyama” Akiyama as a member of the roster.
