Both athletes were patient in the early running of the mixed martial arts contest, and used feints and footwork to try and find an opening in their opponent’s defense.

Jumayi struck first when he stepped in with a thudding overhand right, and he immediately moved back out of range before “Ottogi” had a chance to reply. However, the South Korean remained composed and continued to wait for the right opportunity to attack.

“The Kazakh Eagle” also initiated the second engagement of the match as he seemed to find his rhythm more quickly than his rival, but it was not too long before Kim started to make his presence felt.

“Ottogi” jumped in with a flying knee to respond to Jumayi’s punches, and that was the beginning of a surge in activity. When the man from Yining, China started another boxing exchange, Kim returned fire and both men went toe-to-toe with powerful shots.

The Seoul native was more accurate in the explosive exchanges, and a hard right behind Jumayi’s ear sent him reeling toward the ropes.

That was the only invitation Kim needed to go even harder with his attack as he swarmed with a barrage of right uppercuts to seal the deal in style.
