Aung La “The Burmese Python” N Sang has confirmed he will return to the cage in October.

Posting on Instagram from Florida, USA, the ONE Middleweight and Light Heavyweight World Champion announced he has signed a contract to defend one of his belts.

Aung La N Sang’s last contest came in June at ONE: SPIRIT OF A WARRIOR, when he defended his middleweight strap by knocking out Japan’s Ken Hasegawa in the fifth round. It was widely considered one of the best bouts in ONE history.

That contest, like his last four bouts, was held at Yangon’s Thuwunna Indoor Stadium in his native Myanmar, where he always receives thunderous support from his countrymen.

An October assignment suggests he could potentially headline ONE: PURSUIT OF GREATNESS in his home country, which takes place on 26 October.

However, there is also another show scheduled for that month – ONE: KINGDOM OF HEROES in Bangkok, Thailand, on 6 October. The mega event is set to be the biggest show in promotional history, and is expected to feature a yet-to-be announced mixed martial arts World Title match.

Whichever event it may be, one thing is almost certain – “The Burmese Python” will put on a spectacular show, just as he always has.
