Woman Crush Wednesday: Viktoria Lipianska

ONE Super Series strawweight Viktoria Lipianska

Viktoria Lipianska exploded into the ONE Championship ranks with a stunning debut victory last September, and her career immediately grew to new heights.

The 23-year-old from Bratislava, Slovakia racked up a new army of supporters with her first performance in the world’s largest martial arts organization and won the chance to compete for the inaugural ONE Women’s Strawweight Muay Thai World Championship.

Though the COVID-19 pandemic postponed her quest for the gold, the global fanbase is eager to see Lipianska back in action when the promotion’s 2020 calendar of events resumes.

In this edition of #WomanCrushWednesday, we look at three reasons why she has made a huge impact with ONE, despite having had just a single outing in The Home Of Martial Arts.

World-Class Muay Thai Skills

As she displayed in her bout with Amber “AK 47” Kitchen at ONE: IMMORTAL TRIUMPH, Lipianska is a world-class striker, with a full array of weapons in her arsenal.

The T.F.C. Bratislava representative earned her way onto the global stage as a WMF Pro-Am Muay Thai World Champion and showed that she has the firepower to challenge for the biggest prize in Muay Thai in ONE Super Series.

Her powerful punches, thudding low kicks, and hurtful knees all helped her to get the split decision nod, and “the art of eight limbs” enthusiasts cannot wait to see more.

Brain Power To Match

Lipianska does not just flex in the gym. She also likes to give her gray matter a workout.

Although she has been an athlete all of her life, the former figure skater is in the fifth year of her Advanced Business Degree at the Bratislava University Of Economics.

Remarkably, she has been able to combine her studies with a full-time training regime that has taken her to the top of the martial arts world.

A Positive Role Model

Today, me and @omar_ofy were supposed to be in Vietnam fighting for the @onechampionship world title. Instead, I am staying home trying to protect the health of my loved ones and all the people around me. The directions of life and destiny are so unpredictable. You never know what happens tomorrow. Thats why we should live TODAY. Enjoying small things, enjoying moments that makes us happy, doing what we love… I was thinking a lot about the current situation and the point of this all is to stop and realize what should we be thankful for. Family, lovers, health, love, friends, job, food and anything else that comes to your mind right now. We all have different views of life, different journeys, but we have one thing incommon. We are all human beings that can fight our hearts out for what we love, what we want and for what we believe in. We have to help each other in this difficult times, we should fight it together. All nations, all religions, everyone. Because we’re one world. ???????????????? Love infinitelly. Care more. Help always. #HealthyPeopleHappyWorld . . . . . . . . . . . #WeAreOne #HomeOfMartialArts #TFCbratislava #muaythailife #fitness #muaythai #slovakgirl #motivation #gym #happy #thaiboxing #martialarts #boxing #MMA #makeup #beauty #happylife #health #fitfood #fitnessgirl #sport #healthylife #lifestyle #champion

The young Slovakian striker could be forgiven for being downhearted when the chance to compete for the biggest accolade of her career was derailed by a global pandemic, but she chooses to look on the bright side instead.

Lipianska loves to spread positivity, both to her compatriots and her supporters around the world – and that is more evident than ever in the midst of this crisis.

She will not be deterred or let any setback be permanent, and she encourages everybody else to spread happiness in the face of adversity.
