What ONE’s Heroes Have Been Up To This Week

Burmese MMA fighter Aung La N Sang hits the pads during an open workout

The heroes of ONE Championship are always doing something cool.

When our world-class athletes are not performing inside the cage, they can be found honing their skills inside the gym, traveling to exotic locales, or doing something to satisfy their martial arts spirits outside the stresses of fight camp.

This week has been no exception. Here is what some of ONE’s heroes have been up to away from the cage in the past seven days.

Aung La N Sang Takes It To Rich Franklin

Two-division ONE World Champion Aung La N Sang returned to Myanmar to do some work with the country’s farmers.

While he was in his homeland, “The Burmese Python” also linked up with Rich Franklin and Lethwei Champion Soe Lin Oo to shoot an episode of ONE Warrior Series, and used the opportunity to drill with “Ace.”

His head coach, Henri Hooft, was happy to see his student working on his skills while he was away from the gym – including his left uppercut, which will complement his powerful right hand.

Check out this clip of the closest thing you will get to a throwdown between the reigning ONE Middleweight World Champion and the iconic three-time middleweight world champion.

Alain Ngalani Has Got To Split

Alain “The Panther” Ngalani constantly finds new ways to impress the world with his athletic prowess.

The four-time Muay Thai and Kickboxing Heavyweight World Champion is a shredded behemoth who comfortably walks around at more than 100 kilograms, but he can still kick higher than you can reach, and dance like Bruno Mars.

The last thing you might expect a muscled-up man that looks like he has been carved out of granite to be is flexible enough to do the splits.

In the above clip, Ngalani places two power-plyo boxes a fair distance apart and easily spreads his legs across the gap. For good measure, “The Panther” shows off by catching a ball and flexing to show off his amazing physique.

Dae Hwan Kim Jumps In The Deep End

“Ottogi” Dae Hwan Kim found himself in the serene surroundings of a forest somewhere in South Korea’s magnificent Pocheon Art Valley.

However, as the camera zooms out on this video, it appears the former ONE Bantamweight World Title challenger has no intention of taking in the serenity of nature’s beauty.

Standing on a rocky ledge, it quickly comes becomes apparent his intention is to take the plunge and divebomb several meters into the water below.

Christian Lee’s European Vacation

Before he begins another intense training cap, Christian “The Warrior” Lee found time to unwind on a cruise around Europe with his family.

Setting sail on the Symphony Of The Seas, he visited some of the continent’s most beautiful cities including Barcelona, Spain; Marseille, France; and Naples, Italy.

Now, feeling rejuvenated after his European voyage, Lee is back at United MMA preparing for his bout with Edward “The Ferocious” Kelly at ONE: BEYOND THE HORIZON.

Former ONE Bantamweight World Title challenger Andrew Leone just tied the knot.

The Bali MMA head and his wife, Olga, got married in the Indonesian paradise last weekend.

Fellow ONE heroes Gianni Subba, Muhammad Aiman, and Stefer Rahardian were all in attendance for the special occasion.

Congratulations to the newly-weds!

A Ride Through Baguio

Gina “Conviction” Iniong was spotted cruising around Baguio City in her leather jacket and her trademark pink helmet.

It is no secret the members of Team Lakay absolutely love riding around on two wheels, but the atomweight contender’s pursuits involve a little more horsepower.

While some of the Baguio-based boys take their mountain bikes onto trails through the forests, Iniong lets her motorbike loose on the roads.

“The Honey Badger” Returns To Singapore

Emilio “The Honey Badger” Urrutia does most of his training at Tiger Muay Thai in Phuket, Thailand, but he recently went back to his old stomping grounds in Singapore for a quick visit.

The American enjoys traveling to different parts of Asia after each of his bouts to pick up new tricks and absorb knowledge from martial artists across the continent.

This time, he spent some time working on his mobility and flexibility in “The Lion City” by training with his former crew at Juggernaut Fight Club
