The South Korean star showcased impressive striking, wrestling, and submission skills during that streak, and he’ll need every facet of his game to finish “Cannon” Ma Jia Wen in their featherweight mixed martial arts contest at ONE: FULL BLAST II, which airs this Friday, 11 June.

#1 A Dominant Debut
“The Big Heart’s” inaugural ONE appearance could not have been any more special. He opened the show at the groundbreaking ONE: A NEW ERA in Tokyo, Japan, and bludgeoned his way past India’s Bala Shetty in the opening frame.
Making his professional debut on the global stage did not faze the Team Stungun product. Yoon rose to the occasion immediately, as he drilled his foe with hard punches and then fought off a takedown attempt with some slick counter-wrestling.
Once he put the Indian on the canvas, it was one-way traffic. Yoon gave his foe no room to escape as he advanced his position and drilled Shetty with hard ground-and-pound.
It looked like strikes might do the job – the referee watched closely while “The Big Heart” hammered away with punches and elbows – but Shetty rolled over to escape the onslaught and exposed his back in the process.
Yoon didn’t need a second invite. He swiftly slid his right arm under his opponent’s neck and squeezed until Shetty waved the white flag.

#2 Tan Feels His Power
Yoon made a swift return to face Filipino veteran Trestle “Jun Minion” Tan at ONE: LEGENDARY QUEST, and despite Tan’s early offense, the Busan native showed maturity beyond his years to stave off a submission threat and turn the tables.
After Yoon fended off his rival’s wrestling and ground attacks, he burst to life on the feet and started to tag “Jun Minion” with thudding punches.
Hard jab-cross combinations and crunching uppercuts pierced Tan’s guard, and “The Big Heart” grew in confidence with every connection.
The Filipino grew noticeably more weary as the sustained barrage of shots continued to find a home. A pair of darting right hands finally crumpled Tan to the canvas, where the referee immediately waved off the fascinating one-round battle to award Yoon with a spectacular sophomore win.
#3 Menchavez Falls To Second-Round Choke
“The Big Heart” topped off his phenomenal 2019 campaign and kept his slate clean with a second-round submission over Rodian “The Redeemer” Menchavez at ONE: MARK OF GREATNESS.
The South Korean dominated the opening stanza by taking his Filipino foe down and pummelling him with a constant stream of punches, elbows, and knees.
Somehow, Menchavez found a way to keep going, but things didn’t get much better for him in round two. Instead, Yoon upped the ante with his striking game, as he smashed “The Redeemer’s” legs with low kicks and lit him up with his hands.
Brimming with confidence, the 26-year-old took aim with a flying knee, and Menchavez’s only option was to push forward for a takedown.
That was ultimately his undoing, as Yoon effortlessly stayed on his feet, took a front headlock position, and then sunk in a tight power guillotine that pushed his record to 4-0 in The Home Of Martial Arts.
