27-year-old San Thu Oo did not have an easy childhood, having been forced to start working from just 5 years of age after his father passed away. To make ends meet, he moved to Thailand, and worked several jobs, including driving a taxi and farming, before returning to Myanmar to pick up lethwei.
He has since accumulated a respectable record in lethwei, and plans to do even better in mixed martial arts. San Thu Oo may have missed his chance to compete in ONE in its first Myanmar show, but after getting the call in 2016, he plans to make the most of this opportunity and leave a lasting impression on the world with his elite striking.
